Peak and off season: When to get the best deal

Deciding on the best time to visit New Zealand may depend on what it is you’d like to see and do. Winter is hugely popular for snow and ski holidays, while summer is the perfect time for wineries, hiking and sightseeing road trips. Peak travel times include school holiday periods, weekends and all major holidays. With so many airlines flying to New Zealand though, finding a cheap airfare isn’t too difficult. One of the best ways to ensure a lower fare to Auckland is to check fares on international airlines such as Emirates, LAN or China Airlines. These services are often flown as add-on services, and airlines slash fares to sell these seats.
