Peak and off season: When to get the best deal

India has extreme weathers in terms of rain and heat, so it is important to make sure that you organise your trip according to the weather you prefer, as well as the fares.

The peak seasons are between June to August, where fares are higher.

The off-peak season is between April 1 - May 30 and September 1 - October 31, where fares are lower and the weather is great.

In terms of weather, Summer is from June to August with high temperatures, so tourism is pretty slow and the cost of living would be lower.

Fall is from September to November where it is humid and windy and it may rain. However, during this period, tourism sees an increase, so the prices of accommodation go up.

Winter is from December to February. This time of the year it is quite pleasant and tourism sees a spike, which causes higher rates.
